“Sharing My Day”
Beginning today (two days after Labor Day) and for the next four weeks, NPPD’s BYO blog will feature four individuals from York Operations Center who will, in turn, tell readers a little about who they are and what their jobs entail. The four are Mitch Schlegelmilch, Anna Johnson, Matt Holthe and Sherry Kvasnicka.
Each has put pen to paper and written, journal- and Twitter-like, about a typical workday in their lives. They’ve also each shot a short video, introducing themselves and talking about their jobs, YOC and NPPD. Our goal is to let the reader see “behind the outlet” a bit more of who we are at NPPD, our jobs, our commitment to customers and our dedication to service.
We hope you’ll enjoy getting to know Mitch, Anna, Matt and Sherry … and NPPD.
First up, Mitch. Next week, Anna. #Let’sGetThePartyStarted
We have arrived at the big white building with the big blue N on it. #NPPDYOC
Cover weekly safety message, safety summary, safety focus, weekly schedule, and just so we cover enough safety … my random safety topic:
“Eating tomatoes helps prevent sunburn.” Is this really true?
Tom shared how eating garlic will help keep mosquitoes away.
Note to self, “Eating tomatoes covered in garlic will keep the bugs and burns away,” … as well as everyone else.
Heading out to the warehouse to hop on the “Zamboni.” It’s a vacuum you drive … it’s great!
Who’s this guy walking through the warehouse in flip flops? Gaylen’s on it. Apparently the company this guy works for doesn’t care much about his safety. Sweet sunglasses, though! Is that Maverick or Iceman? Parking the “Zamboni.” Crews are unloading and cleaning up trucks from last week’s storm job. Nice work, gentlemen!
Back to the office – Time to run some reports. Objective, reduce our $2.1 million of excess inventory.
Whoops, forgot it was Monday. (Walk-in traffic, phone calls, emails, schedule changes) … . #TheNorm
I’ll get back to the numbers … soon I hope!
Well, it’s already 12:30 and I’m trying to figure out where the morning has gone?
One of the best parts of the day … lunch! Left over pizza … diet starts tomorrow … for real this time!
Just sent off report to boss man. I’m sure he’s going to love the numbers!
Let’s dig a little deeper into this wide world of numbers!
